Solo Exhibtion at Annandale Galleries (Sydney)

This exhibition, titled ‘SITE PAINTINGS’, marked Thomas Thorby-Lister’s inaugural commercial solo exhibition. Held at Annandale Galleries in Sydney’s Inner West, showcasing a collection of site-responsive paintings by the artist, spanning a period of four years. This important selection of works was accompanied by a sound activation in its last week of showing, performed by Joe Wilson and Chanelle Collier. Using site recordings Thorby-Lister had made during his residencies (sounds of the river, birds, rain and wind) the artist duo Joe and Chanelle wove the sounds into an experimental sound-scape in the gallery, surrounded by the paintings.
